1. 1880 census Taney County, Missouri, shows Matthew McDade’s oldest child as Cornelius, age 19, [1861] mother’s place of birth as South Carolina. The next children all show mother’s place of birth as Indiana. Perhaps Cornelius is Nancy’s son.
